MF58 Series Glass Sealed Temperature Measuring NTC Thermistor
MF58 series NTC thermistor is made of semiconductor ceramic technology, and the NTC chip is encapsulated in glass (DO-35 diode encapsulation method). It is a high-precision thermal device element with the same appearance as the 4148 diode.
(1) Product features
●Good stability and high reliability; ·The NTC chip is encapsulated in glass and can be used safely in any harsh environment.
●Wide resistance range and high precision; the resistance precision is up to 0.3℃, and the B value precision is up to 0.5%.
●Can be used in harsh environments such as high temperature and high humidity; to ensure excellent heat resistance, the product is encapsulated in glass and can work stably and reliably at a high temperature of 300℃.
●Small size, light weight, and sturdy structure;
●Easy to install automatically; due to its small size and light weight, it can be easily and automatically mounted on the printed circuit board, suitable for automatic plug-in installation and large-scale production. After pulling open the glass sealing tape, the pins can be cut on the equipment.
●Thermal sensitivity should be fast and high. ·The packaging method and results of its products determine its fast response speed and high sensitivity. The resistance value decreases as the temperature increases, also known as linear negative temperature coefficient thermistor.

(2) Application scope
● Temperature control and detection of household appliances (such as refrigerators, air conditioners, smart toilets, microwave ovens, induction cookers, toasters, electric fans, electric heaters, soybean milk machines, electric water heaters, rice cookers, health pots, egg cookers, water dispensers, etc.);
● Temperature detection or compensation of office automation equipment (such as copiers, printers, etc.);
● LED lighting, mobile phone battery and battery pack temperature protection. ;
● Temperature compensation of instrument coils, integrated circuits, quartz crystal oscillators, and thermocouples.
● Temperature measurement and control circuits of medical, industrial and agricultural, environmental protection, food processing and other equipment.
● Temperature compensation circuits such as micromotor CNC, quartz crystal oscillators and thermocouples.

(8 Precautions
1. The MF58 series thermistor is sealed with glass. Please do not subject it to severe shock or squeezing to prevent the glass tube from breaking.
2. Welding method: Use the method of direct welding between the metal body and the body. Do not use soldering to avoid welding, and the welding time should be controlled within 3.5 seconds.
3. Do not test the MF58 thermistor in the air. The temperature difference in the air is large and the measurement is very inaccurate. There will often be a deviation of more than 1-2°C. A high-precision constant-temperature oil tank must be used for measurement. The measured NTC discharge After entering the constant-temperature oil tank, the temperature of the constant-temperature tank must be stable before measurement.
4. The voltage should be as low as possible during measurement to reduce the measurement error caused by NTC self-heating.
5. When measuring high temperature, a thermometer needs to be used to correct and check the temperature of the thermostatic bath.
